Sotavento is located in Tenerife South, the Canary Islands
Sotavento covers a surface area of 250,000 m² and it is located in the south of Tenerife just ten minutes from Reina Sofía airport. Lying at the foot of the majestic and elegant Montaña Roja (Red Mountain) on the shores of La Tejita beach, Sotavento is one of those places that oozes peace and quiet from the moment you arrive.
The complex, nestled conveniently between the fishing villages of El Médano and Los Abrigos, is perfectly integrated in its natural surroundings: The protected Montaña Roja Special Nature Reserve.
The place with the most hours of sunshine in all of Europe
Sotavento is an ideal location for enjoying an exceptional quality of life. Over 1,500 people from all over Europe are already taking advantage of the island’s all-year-round mild spring climate in one of the residential developments forming the complex. Imagine around 3,000 hours of sunshine every year which you can enjoy whilst taking long walks, sunbathing on La Tejita Beach, windsurfing or kitesurfing, playing golf just ten minutes away from your property, or simply lapping up the convenience and comfort of your own home.
All the residential developments forming Sotavento are private with swimming pools (one for adults and another for children) and spacious landscaped gardens. Every apartment also has a large terrace where you can continue to soak up the wonderful climate of southern Tenerife in your own home.
Sotavento Shopping Centre
This retail project, with a gross leasable floor area of 2,500 m2, is currently under construction, but in the near future it will be a key facility for the complex residents and visitors to La Tejita beach.
The shopping centre’s main features are its open spaces, closeness to the beach and access to an 18,000-m2 green area. The shopping center is open for Sotavento residents since late 2015.
